Abki Baar Indo-US Nuclear Deal Yaar

As part of the 66th Republic Day celebrations, Indian PM Narendra Modi and US President Barack Obama okay-ed a nuclear deal in their recent meeting in New Delhi. It was stuck since 2008 due to India’s opposition to the deal then. BJP, among other political parties had objected to the Indian people not having adequate liability safeguards against the possible unfortunate occurrence of nuclear disasters. The safeguards are still not in place, but the Indo-US nuclear deal in all probability is.
Lakshmi Karunakaran lives in Bangalore. Trained as an engineer she shifted gears to do what she loves — work with children.
