Discussing God with my Father
Father says he sees God in everything — -in
teacups and switchboards, floor mats and me.
If I am a God why did he hit me, sent my glasses
flying? His Mother was a Goddess too, who flailed
every time he failed, and rubbed his shoulders later
with love, you mend my glasses with sellotape
Gods must be human then, fooling us to think of them as otherwise
Or we are them and the fact that I love you still
is a miracle.
