Cayce Zavaglia is a trained painter who switched to embroidery in an attempt to establish a non-toxic studio and create a body of work that referenced an embroidered piece she had learnt as a child while growing up in Australia. Her evocative work which has a photographic quality to it comprises images mostly of people close to her or other fellow artists. These are powerful images and not much needs to be said about them.
